Using my new 3 by 3 downstairs pole the shaft holding the brush part came unglued from the outer as shown in the picture. What's the best glue or method to re-attach it?
A rivet throught it? Bathroom selant? No nails?
Help please.

If it's new then send it back >:( >:(
and get your money back!!
In the mean time.........
Go to Tesco's and get a "Melody" soft floor brush for about £4
and go to your local Aquatic shop and get:
1 mtr of 4mm air tube
2 x straight pushfit joiners
1 x T joiner
I trust you have some 6mm id 10mm od pole tube?
Also go to your local Plumbers suppliers and get a 10mm Gas valve
Go to your local Auto Extras shop and get 4 x 6mm id barbed tube joiners for Vauxhall fuel tubes?
Now..........
With a pair of pliers, pull out a few bristles from the brush head to make way for the jets.
Then, from the back of the brush head, drill 2 x 4mm holes for the jets.
Now cut 2 small pieces of the 4mm air hose (enough to just cover one end of each of the 4mm joiners) and push them onto one end of each of the joiners. This makes you pencil fets.
Then cut 3 x 5 inch lengths of the 4mm tube. Push two peices onto the other end of the 4mm joiners and thread each piece from the bristle side through each hole in the brush. You may have to squeeze them tight in. Then atatch the T piece and the 3rd piece of 4mm tube...........One Jetted Brush ;D ;D
Oh SOD it..................Ring me on 07815 106363...........It will be easier to explain it over the phone.
Here's a picture of my DS brush

Depending on the type pole and how flexible and remove all the old glue as best as you can, apply some strong waterproof glue and get decent jubilee clip to clamp it in place it shouldn't move at all then! Hope this Helps!

(I realise there is another post but here's mine anyway) ;D

In the short term I'll do what shaun says. But what a fantastic answer Dave. I will go to an aquatic shop and see whats available and possibly biuld a back up.
The pole cost £51, and the original brush fell off because it had no thread.( the vikan was sent as a replacment). Other than this my supplier has been brilliant, so I don't like to mither him (Mike at Cleantec).Your pole is a lot cheaper(and more robust by the look of it), but there is a time element involved. The time element gets bigger when you are poor at DIY, but I accept that I have learn and a small project like this is a good thing to learn on.
Thanks for the help.

Where did you buy the 3x3 pole from?
I have the exact same pole. I got mine from cleantech. What a great pole ;)
When you get it fixed or replaced you will really enjoy working with it.
Oh... the pic.... It was taken before I put the black plastic angle joint on ;)
