I heard somewhere that any business holding keys to properties nedds now to have a permit from a government dept that deals with thesecuriy industry.
Does anyone know anything about this?

Have a look at this site above. I'm not sure how relevant it is to the domestic cleaning industry. I have sent them an email but they haven't replied yet.

Looks like it is just for security people but shouldn't take long for us all to be taxed... er...sorry, licensed.

The licencing only covers Key Holding/Security.
What this actually means, as i understand it, is, if you are one of the contacts that the police or other security firm are going to contact in the case of an emergency, then you need a licence, there are of course, as you would expect exemptions from this, however, if, as part of your contract, you are listed as an emergency contact, then you need to be licenced and properly insured for the risk, regards,

Just a short one guys, the above information does not mean that you should not have insurance cover to protect both you and your client from losing said keys!
