i put a switch on my pole it stops the water between every window i can also control the flow at the pole.i use fan jets but if i need to be accurate i can turn the flow down so they turn into pencil jets, the switches came from varitech, they are fron microbore then to standard hoselock fittings

Another way is to put a hoselock style flow control fitting on the end of the hosereel.  They tend to be plastic though and can get broken.  Some people put the hose through a tennis ball and the flow control next to that so it's better protected.

Hi John, there is also an automatic brush    http://www.window-tools.com/auto.htm    or if you use soft thinwall pvc or silicon pipe you just fold it in half anywhere along its length.

I use a flexible pole hose, just fold it in two and slip a ring over it. The ring is tied to the pole with thin bungy, and is always in the same place at any working height.
This is a great system for anyone with hose running outside the pole. Dai
