Just to clarify what Dave is referring to (if you don't know already).
Apparently Ionics have registered the name "Reach £ Wash" for their own systems. If you don't have an Ionics system in there, and they find out (maybe by trawling through directories etc) they ask you to remove the offending words ("ask" being backed up by legal action if there is a refusal to comply). What I've heard about the company, the threat of legal action probably would NOT be a hollow one. Better to mention it now rather than you having to pay for part of the signwriting to be redone.
-
I like it, the emphasis is on the right words which is good apart from the "rach and Wash" part it's all great.

Anything on the roof incase of airoplanes/helecopters ?
Only joking thats one of the better ones ive seen

The Shiner
What if someone has used the Reach and wash logo in business pages and does not have there system. Its hard to take out the add, as its already in the book and they have been delivered. They have also used the fed logo and safe contractor in there add.
Sorry david68 for hijacking your post

Well I'm not a lawyer but I suppose all they could do is to say not to use it again. I suppose they could try suing but I doubt they would get much money out of it if any at all. It would be hard for them to prove financial loss (if indeed they need to) but the risk of being saddled with their legal fees as well as your own shouldn't be underestimated. It's all very well standing your ground but who would want to risk sleepless nights worrying about outcome.
I'm wondering if "Reach & Clean" would bebetter. Has a nicer ring to it than "Reach £ Wash"
-
To be honest i think that reach and clean sounds better

This subject has always annoyed me, i think there daft, free advertising and they threaten you with leagal action.
Its like the hoover -V- vacum saga, would be great if every one could use "reach and clean" and get that to be the standard name for wfp but not owned or registerd by one company, maybe trade mark it and register it to a free association.

I will consider changing it to reach & clean.....
Thanks for your good points.

You missed a bit ;D ;D (Sorry couldn't resist).
Looks very nice. Good Luck

what about the logo of the guy thats already on the van are you not keeping it.
-
Hi Dave,
I would do away with the "reach and wash and traditional methods", put the phone numbers side by side and make them bigger and also make the " window cleaning" bigger as well. As I think the phone numbers and what your selling are the most important bits.
Also, why don't you have a landline number?
My thoughts, for what they are worth.
Kind regards Jon

Hi Dave,
Also, why don't you have a landline number?
Kind regards Jon
Maybe it's the same reason as me?
I am never at home between 9am-5pm so customers will get me on my mobile.
5pm untill I go to bed is my time to relax and forget about work! Mobile usually gets switched off at 6pm.
-
I feel that landline numbers can give some credibility to a business, as mobiles can be very anonymous.

Your right there you ask a lot of people if they see an advert in th paper etc would they call the mobile no or the landline and they would say landline
If i was buying a car and there was only a mobile no i wouldn't bother
-
This is what im having done to mine very simple ..my last van was too cluttered with writing had ..conservatories,guttes etc..but im not doing that agin if they ask me in the street then no probs but spent half the time quoting and never getting the job so now im soley a window cleaner
-

EasyClean,
I see that you are using the Tucker pole logo, I'm sure that's okay if you actually own a Tucker Pole system. ;D
If you don't own the kit or are not a member of a trade association, or are not members of something like Safe Contractor, ClearChoice etc. Then why lie? People in business who tell lies end up appearing in Rogue Traders!

Whos lying careful my friend or i will have you for liable.
I have a 700ltr tucker pole system my contact is Daniel Pegram at Aquafactors in basingstoke which we have been using for 4 years check my posts, and as for the safe contractor heres my certificate. Not unless your qestions were for people who do actually use these without owning them. But please check next time who you are posting to and implying because i will hold you for liable and defamation
-
Easy Tiger, I wasn't implying that you where lying, only people that knowingly use logo's or make false statements to mislead customers. It was a general observation not aimed at you.
