We are a small cleaning company and are going into Office and shop cleaning, is there a formula for this per quoare metre.

Cause we are stuck on a few bits

Personally, I work out how much it'll cost to clean/manage the premises then add 10-20% for profit.

I don't know if anybody else uses a formula or goes by metre sq etc. Carpet cleaning, stripping and sealing etc. I guess you'd have to quote by area due to chemical coverage.

I always ask about their current cleaning arrangements. If they are having 2hrs mon-fri then you can work out your wage cost, then add holiday pay, a bit for training staff, a bit for uniforms, management, insurances, cleaning materials etc.

Each contract is slightly different. More mopping = more cleaning chemical whereas with vaccuuming you buy 1 hoover (if that makes sense)

Then again, I've been running my business for under 12 months so I may be talkin crap!

Have you done a search on this forum, a lot of people are getting annoyed with the same questions?
