Just wondered what considered opinion regarded as the best brush.
Also, can I get a detachable gooseneck for my 35ft. orange extender?
-
Ive used Ionic and Vikan brushes, but now use a couple of Gaz's brushes, much better!
-
why are gaz brushes better?
have never used them,
what size are they how much per brush?
fan jets or pencil jets ?
-
I have used a 28cm Vikan Rectangular brush for the last 10 months. Never seems to wear out - ideal for 1st cleans, just a bit on the heavy side when working at height. Now started using the Super-Lite Brush. Seems good and much lighter. But I don't think it will last as long. But one bonus is that I'm less tired at the end of the day.
Just have to squeeze an extra job in at the end of the day now! ;)

If you mail Gaz hh20, he will be able to tell you about all the different brushes that he supplies and the prices. But i can recommend them.

Omnipole double trim on the powerpole...whole thing far too heavy.
Varitech double trim -£13.90 each with jets...flattens out on glass too much and holds a lot of dirt...very noticeable in the white bristles.
Gaz brush...the ones I had were too lightweight for me and flattened out on glass.
I use Vikan standard 10" and have NEVER had any issues with them.

Hi Shining,
You can get a detachable aluminium gooseneck for your pole. If your pole has a plastic screw end on it, we supply a G-Fit (registered design) aluminium gooseneck that will fit all poles (with an end screw fitted, one can be bonded in if needed) and will also allow brushes to simply screw on the other end. This gooseneck only weighs about 130gms as well so it does not add too much weight.

Gaz's are the best in my opinion, and I have used most

Steve, Gaz does others, the Blue salmon one i used was quite stiff with corrugated bristles.
-
yes, it was a while ago and I think it was one of his first.
-
Is that the one you found flattened on the glass ?

Thanks for comments chaps, very helpful.
Alex,
At present, my 20ft yellow extender has a Vikan rectangular brush that I am happy with. My 30ft orange extender has a 10 inch oval Vikan that I feel is just naff!
30ft pole fits nicely in van if I tuck brushead down. If the gooseneck is an easily detatchable affair (only way of keeping pole in van) I might be interested.
Must admit quite like the look of Gaz's brushes. Would they fit your gooseneck connection?
I think pole end is a screw joint as you've described. Will have to check.

I'm complete opposite, used the oval vikan then bought the vikan rectangular which I used twice and binned it coz the bristles drag behind the brush meaning the brush hits the top/bottom frame before the bristles gets there, back to the oval for me although if gaz would send his price list I would like to try his ;)

Gaz,
Could you e-mail me some pictures of your brushes along with specifcations and price.

Hi Shining Example
The gooseneck would unscrew from your pole end in about 10 seconds. There would be no need to do anything else than fold the brush and gooseneck to fit into the van. The salmon brushes (Gaz's) would fit the gooseneck. Some of the salmon brushes have a screw thread which is the same as our gooseneck and others are a push on fit but the screw thread still screws into it.

Hi Alex, as you are selling your wares
a one second pull/push on a Featherlight adapter is a faster fit ?
-
Hello Alex,
How much for gooseneck?
Gaz,
How much for fairly stiff rectangular brush that would fit on Alex's gooseneck?
-
Hi Jeff,
Yes you are right. The gooseneck on our Super-Lites takes about 1 second to assemble either way!
Hi Shining,
Take a look on our website. They are marketed under G-fit. Or ask Jeff about his Unger ones, you would have to modify the end of your pole though.
