Hi all....I seem to be suffering from freezing brush heads......is there anything that can be put in the pure water to that will both stop the freezing and not affect the tds rating of the water?
Cheers
Dave.

Are they freezing while your working or over night??

The brush heads on the vikan will freeze during the day...the temp here during the day has between -3 and +0.4 for the past 2 days....I bring my pump box, hoses, brushes into the shed at night which does not go below 0 deg.
Cheers
Dave.

Yesterday the clamps on my facelift pole froze whilst I was working...and the temp gauge from my garden said it was -0.3 deg at the time.. ;)

Its not as if I live in the boonies, I am in the south of Holland(Ned)....it just keeps getting colder... :D

We occasionally get a winter witha high pressure system that keeps it cold with all the hot air above us ( cloud inversion) I remeber one winter about 10years ago that froze the supply pipe to the garage solid. No RO water :) Had to quickly move it inside the house and work 3 hours a day. Hope its not starting to happen again ??? :'(

Were currently at - 4.2 and expect -6 or -7 during the night....I suppose luckily for me that I do not currently have a full round but it is very frustrating not being able to do much....as you said I have been able to work about 3 hours a day....
Perhaps my inexperiance is showing through.
Note to self...insulate everything...this weekend!!!
See the below photo that is one of my 500litre tanks....frozen...ROFL

I think that wfp is great and i use them too, but seriously if the temp is that cold then really leave it in the van and use your trad tools ... better still do ya self a favour and stay home till it warms up abit
