Title: Chenille Rug
Post by: Timmy Boy on January 25, 2007, 09:03:26 am
Good morning all
Cleaned a house today, all went well until she asked us to clean this rug from M&S. It says on the label professional dry clean only. Can I wet clean this, or is a solvent method better?
Regards
Tim

Hi Tim,

Yes you can wet clean it[as already said by Paul].
What is the face fibre?[wool or cotton]
What size rug is it?

Hi Tim,

Yes it will still be o.k to wet clean[do your dye bleed test].
Dont use your carpet wand.
Use your upholstery hand tool.[plenty of dry passes]

Regards...Colin.

100% cotton Chenille is perfectly safe to HWE clean, some of these rugs, if size allows, can be machine washed.
