Title: Mold on top of cotton blind

Just come back from mates house, they have cotton blinds-material at the front and a backing on them, where the tops of the blinds have been in contact with the window, the condensation has caused some mold to form, it covers about a 4" depth along the length of the blind-any ideas on best method of removing the black moldy bits?
