Title: Please help
Post by: Clear Vision on January 21, 2007, 04:01:41 pm
Just got a new elbow barb fitting for the outlet of my pump but when I connect the hose and turn on my system all is fine utill I unplug my pole and the pressure builds up and the hose blows off and there's water all over :'(

How can I get it to stay on?

Yeah, thats what I mean gaz.

But the jubilee clips that I have are rubish. I got a pack of 20 for 99p from a local pound shop but when you tighten them they break!

Need to get this sorted tonight.

But I thought because it was a barb the hose would grip?

It depends on the bore of the hose,if it pushes on easy it`s too big,i always use a barb and hose that needs softening in boiling hot water then when it cools it`s a nice tight fit,

Gaz, it was a tight fit! I put the hose in boiling water first and then put on!

AAARRRGGHHHHH! There is always something isn't there?

The joys. but it's all worth it
