I'm lazy in that department, i've a Tucker van mount, droped my van off, kit fitted & off to work & earn the money,  ;D.

No problems & anything i needed to know was a phone call or ask on here, worth every pound,  ;D ;D.

When i sell my van i will hopefully sell the wfp set up with it & get another new one from Tucker,  ;).

depend how competent you feel about building it yourself the benefit is you know how to repair the system yourself otherwise you could end up with a system which is overly complcated that you know nothing about.

Value for money is a basic backpack, pole and RO. Then expand. you will always need a b/pac pole and RO.

Whats so complicated? All you need is a tank and a pump, connect it up to a 12volt battery, and you have a cheap but effective system that can do everything that an expensive system can do! I fitted a simple system into my van for less than £500, and that includes the RO in the shed! ;D

I tend to go the easy route and buy off the shelf.
Maybe my next system i may do a DIY sytem.

I bought a trolley system origially and then upgraded went along, and that bit was put together by myself, but the original was off the shelf.

It really depends on the depth of your pocket.

Were I starting all over I would go for a basic off the shelf system, whether that be van, trailer or trolley.
I would not go for any of the big boys toys, I'm a one man outfit, not a large company and I really don't think there is any point for someone as tiny as myself to lash out several grand for WFP.

If I was going for a van mount then I would be swinging between fully fitted and part DIY (I'd want to have a system whereby I could fit my own tank into the back of the van)

Were I a larger company I would be considering leasing from one of the big boys, tax effective and less initial outlay...

It really isn't as straightforward as you might think!

All i would really say is; "Get what you NEED, not what you WANT!"

its been sorted, it wasnt a real person, it was a spambot script, they are a problem of the net i am afraid, BUT all the posts have gone and the DIY forum is clean again

i hope its been sorted anyway, you will see if you register, you now need to e.mail me and i will activate the account, this is something spambots cannot do, so i hope thats the end of it
