I've been cleaning many of my shop fronts for some years now using fairy and getting good results, but than i came across sites like this one with so many people raving about gg3/4 and how much better it is than fairy, so i had to give it a go.
after using it for a week now i can't say i feel 100% happy with it but i'm going to persevere with it and learn to work with it.
i've heard people who use wfp say that it can take several cleans on windows that were cleaned the traditional way, (ie i'm guessing with fairy) for it to work.
my question is,
is it the same with gg4, that it takes several cleans for all that fairy to come out and the gg4 to really make a differents ?

Im not that keen on GG4 i think its a bit overrated.
Try squeegie off i think its a lot better than glass gleam.

if you want some slip try squeegie off its better than gg3 & gg4

ahhhh vindaloo, try chicken patia- get it made 5star hot (same hotness as vindaloo - or get it a little hotter - magnifico!!)

add some fairy to the bucket or even better some ecover, it'll give more slip & thicken it up some. i think gg3/4 is crap on its own but add a drop of ecover into the bucket & its great. ;D ;D

Adding stuff to it though is defeating the object.
If it was any good you wouldn't need to add anything.
When i used GG3 & GG4 i would use double the recommended dose.
But since changing to SQUEEGIE OFF there no turning back i think it perfect.
Also easy to get B&Q sell it

GG4 is rubbish for squeegeeing to be really honest with you! No slip whatsoever!
Been using squeegee off for quite some time now, best thing. Economical, lasts ages and ages, and cleans really well. Slip is excellent.
Gotta get the mixture right though, I use 15ml / 8ltr water....run your hand through it to make quite a bit of foam, otherwise it takes a while to get the necessary slip.

dont know about defeating the object, but gg3 + ecover realy does do the business, it doesn't leave any smears/marks behind & if it does due to rubber being knackered it dries clear. that unger liquid is total crap mind you, it leaves massive smears & anything left behind dries white. might have to try some squeegee off though, lots of people seem to like it. :D

Will that really work getting the windows cleaned? I think I would rather stick too Squeegee off!!! ;D

GG3/4 does work but it is difficult to get used to,especially if you`ve used Fairy for a while.
A bucket of solution doesn`t seem to last long so you need to change it regularly.
As for GG4 being too thin or drying out too quickly, try doing windows in sections.
I`ve been using Lime Lite(from Tesco) recently. It`s in a spray bottle and is supposed to remove limescale and soap residue. I hope this will help on first cleans should/when I get a watering stick.

had a better day today added a touch of fairy to my gg4 and it seemed to thicken it up a bit.
All in all was very pleased with the look of the glass after i had finished, but will try all your ideas to see what works best for me.

since finding this forum I've really got back my enthusiasm for making my w/c business succeed.

i was ready for jacking in myself till i too came accross this forum, in just 3 months since joining this forum, from all the advise & tips given from guys on here my working life has been made 100% better. i hardly ever talk to or even see another w/c in this area so i've allways had to find things out the hard way.was realy begining to dread going to work in the morning, but not anymore. i too am re-energized with enthusiasm & can't beleive how quick & easy i get round my work now. so, keep reading & asking & good luck.
