Title: Pump Mounting
Post by: MNWC on January 14, 2007, 05:32:53 pm
Hi
Whats the best position to mount pump on trolly

Mine used to be so  the ports were at the top.

changed it today so that ports are at the side (dont ask why)

have got air coming in, have sealed all joints but to no avail

Someone told me that the best way to mount a pump was that the ports are nearest the ground (upside down) are they right ????

Marcus, the inlet/outlet ports have to be at the bottom.

Ports at the boottem dear boy , if you get an internal leak with them at the top you can say bye bye to the motor

I am tight. The bearings wear if you dont mount them perfectly horizontal or vertical, so on a trolley mount horizontal, anyone coment ?

Hey Jeff , you may be tight , but i see a tiny flaw in your plan !

What happens when you park your van on a slope ?
Dont tell me you take a set of car ramps and spirit level with you  ;D ;D ;D
