The Wool will have absorbed quite a lot of the oil which will keep wicking back to the surface of the fibres. Wiping with a terry towel and solvent is best bet, however it can take a few attempts.

Hi Colin,

I would definitely go with a solvent as John says, but would spray on and leave for 15 mins before agitating and extracting.

You will find white spirit will work or isopropanol .

Cheers

Collin,
Had this prob before. If the oil has gone into the backing, it may keep whicking back no matter what you do.

I always tell custy that it may come back and that it's their prob if it does.
