Title: Bad Bad Day
Post by: Neil Grainger on January 11, 2007, 06:45:37 pm
Hi All

Day off today as I was waiting for a furniture delivery so thought that I would clean the carpets at home.

Go out to Van to find all four tyres has been slashed.

Gutted, why oh why oh why.

I've not upset anyone.

Just thought that I need to get it off my chest.

Cheers

Neil

Sorry to hear that Neil. It definatly wasnt this local competitor. Hope you get sorted soon. I had a similar problem last summer with an attempt ( I chased them off ) to smash my rear window on van. I now keep my van in the garage and the car on the drive. Van is No 1.

Regards

Justin

Must be a new yob fashion! From the front page of our local paper today.

"Mindless yobs in tyre-slashing orgy

11 January 2007

Car vandals have launched a winter blitz on the borough's motorists with the sole aim of causing maximum disruption.

In the latest attack more than 27 residents in the Nile Road area of Gorleston awoke on Saturday to discover their tyres had been slashed overnight by senseless yobs."

Mind you if you are a possible foreign sponger - nothing happens.  >:(

"'Court too costly' letter probed
Claims two men caught vandalising cars on CCTV in Norwich were not taken to court because of cost are being probed.

Norwich Police are to query a letter sent to a criminal damage victim in which reasons were given why the men were only cautioned.

No further action was taken because they were "unemployed foreign nationals with no income", the letter claims."

Neil

Just caught the opening thread of this and I'm sickened to hear of the anti-social behaviour.  It's enough worry to run your own business, yet alone to have to build in a contingency for crime.  Yes, put the vehicle in the garage, since the more something catches the eye (I assume your truck was logo'ed in some way), the easier it catches the nasty's ill intent.

Best regards

Pete (JS2)
