On Saturday took a trip to see how full the dams are, they full to the brim.

That's fantastic Roy - this New Years day I took a group for a walk from Llanthony Priory in the East Brecons (Black mountains) and the small reservoir about five miles away looked like a lesser version of your photo. Wettest drought in history!

BTW - my honeymoon (I knew how to treat a girl!) was in the Brecons, and when we got out of bed  (:-[) we drove around the Elan valley - good times, must go back soon.

No, it's called Grwyne Fawr Reservoir and it's between Waun Fach mountain and the village of Capel-y-ffin. It's about four/five miles North West of Llanthony.

You will have to post that again in June when there is a hosepipe ban and the water board tell us the reservoir's have not been full for years.
