Title: 3 stage ladders/windy days
Post by: Mr.G on January 08, 2007, 11:16:57 pm
If anyone else finds they have to use them in winds, a useful safety method I've been experimenting with is to run a luggage tiedown strap to a nearby lamp post etc to the ladder,  BEFORE extending it, the tall ladders catch the wind badly, and a fall from that height could be fatal. [Better still, avoid them completely]

Useful tip when you've got a lampost next to the window you're working on...

Ha, yeah, well it could be a fence post or anything solid, and the strap extends to maybe 20 or 30 feet

I had my ladder get blown by the wind and nearly landed on the customers 4x4 BMW.
I managed to catch it before this horror happening.

Was using both methods of cleaning Trad & wfp.

But this converted me fully to wfp wether customers like it or not.
