Hi
I would like to employ someone for my company who would be able to do all the running around and do cover for holidays and sickness. I am asking how would you advertise this post. The reason I am having to do this is due to my continued ill health, I do not want to give up my cleaning business as it is doing well but am looking to recruit someone, has anyone got any ideas please.
Thanks

Hi Julia,
Can't you promote someone that already works for you?
Taking someone on you don't know for a role like this is going to be a big gamble.

Hi Arthur
I would but nobody is interested in the post as they have committments with children etc and most only want to work 16 hours maximum.
A real problem this is at the moment. I covered for two girls last week, one on holiday and one called in sick for the week.

Hi
How did you recruit your little treasure, what sort of wording did you use please as I am having difficulty getting anyone. Did you start her on contracted hours or on a as and when basis. My email address is on the messages above if you would like to email me direct.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Why not try your local jobcentre?

Hi
I have tried the job centre but so far nobody. I am also advertising in local shops in my area and I have a ad on my vehicle. If you have any other suggestions please I would be interested.
Thanks

Which area are you in Julia?

Hi
Northamptonshire Area

Thats exactly what i need. Just someone who doesn't need a full time job but just someone to cover for holidays, sickness and new jobs. I feel i would have problems recruiting as i could only offer 1 job cleaning at a time and i don't think that would be enough for someone as they might want more income than that.

i dont have problems recruting peeps as long as you ensure they are aware that the hours are erratic at the beginning and might only be a few a week.
i have 7 girls working for me all working between 2 and 20-odd hours a week. they are advised they dont have to take jobs offered so they are relaxed in the knowledge they can work the hours they wish :)
