Title: Vacuum Booster
Post by: JS2 on January 05, 2007, 06:39:55 pm
Colleagues

I'm looking into getting a Vacuum Booster to reinforce my Extracta DX (140 inch water lift specified), but I'm wondering if it will be of any real benefit.  To avoid getting into a technical justification regarding "It could do this / it could do that", could anyone who actually uses one of these give me a bit of advice as to the observed merits ?

Many thanks

Yes and if you should ever blow one of the vacs in the Extracta while on a job you can still continue as a two vac set up simply by using the booster box and blocking off the dead vac in the machine.

Thanks

I've just arrived home, so I've only come back on-site tonight.  Thanks for the advice, especially with respect to the back-up possibility.  Indications are that it may be a worthwhile thing to have if I decide to run 'full steam' in the trade in the spring.

Ian, I'm only doing a bit of an equipment list at the moment, but I'll bear in mind that you have an item for sale.

Again, cheers.
