What AH leisure battery would i need to run my second 100 psi pump on the van and how long could i expect it to last.
-
75/85 amp hour minimum
135 amp hour maximum (only because it will be heavy)

i have 2 flojet 80psi pumps and they both run off a 110amph battery which is being charged with a split charger off my alternater and i have not had to recharge it once in a year and a half
hope this helps

Go for a 110amp battery. You dont get 110amp use from it though. In real terms you get 50%, so thats 55amps use. Most pumps use 7amps per hour.
Whan the tempreture is near freezing it as a negative impact on the effecinecy of the battery, reducing its output by another 25%. So on a winters day a fully charged 110amp battery will give only about 40 usable amps.
Hope it helps.
I use 2 x110amp batteries.

As i said i have run one pump from my van battery for over a year and no problems. But now i have two pumps fitted ,i dont think the van battery will cope .So i want to fit a second battery ie leisure battery ,but sounds like i can run two pumps from that if i have 110 AH . but i dont want to keep taking the battry off to charge it ,as i have to park on the road. So would like to know what is a split charger and what sort of cost Or other alternatives .
