I have the Pro Mount 18HP which i am very pleased with , but there is a problem with the filters keep getting blocked up with limescale and have to be cleaned preferably everday to prevent causing major problems which is a fiddly job if you have got a low roof van, apart from that the performance is outstanding and high heat is instant if needed, i find it inexpensive to run and the noise level is very good which is a bonus.

Mark,

I had the same problem with my Boxxer the small jets inside the filter would get blocked up. I installed an inline water softner in the van which completely cured the problem.

Mark, are you dumping hot water back into you fresh water tank, if so try using it with the water dumping into the waste tank as it should be.

Hi Phil
I do return the hot water back to the fresh water tank as so much water was being dumped into the waste tank i kept running out of water.

Hi Derek
That will be an option that i will be looking into

I have had the promount 18 for about three months and think it's just brilliant, well worth the money.

i think i've been one of the lucky ones as no problems so far (don't want to speak too soon ::)

I'm amazed at the constant output of high heat, it's pretty much steam even at 300 ft 8)

i did find it needed descaling after 1 1/2 months, all got totally blocked all of a sudden, but the descaler i got from woodbridge (hope i'm allowed to mention them ;D) was so strong it cured it straight away and nearly made me pass out as i couldn't get out of the van quick enough!

apart from that all ok, think i will get a water softener tho as water is very hard here.

cheers
steve
