Title: unger poles
Post by: tonylee on December 30, 2006, 03:44:16 pm
hi everyone,
i have a freedom trolley systom and use a pole that extends to 24'. it is only 6 months old but i feel i should have another one as a spare. i have read on the site that the unger pole is realisticly priced and very serviceable. i do not know the make of my current pole.
has anyone got this or a similar system and has changed to a unger pole, if so are there any bits apart from the pole i would need to get. also where would you recommed i perchase one from.
thanks.

Hi Tony

i use the unger poles ranging from 6ft to 24ft
all you need are the pole (obvious) i use an angle adapter instead of a
gooseneck and just connect the brush to that ,you can then have the
hose running outside the pole or inside it,s up to you .
I bought mine form cleantech www.cleantech.co.uk and they predrilled the final
section for the hose to come through also put a piece where the hole is for the
hose to strenghen it.
The pole are light but with the 24ft one it is a bit whippy but get used to it.
Sections can be added to the pole to make it longer and replacment clamps and collers are couple of pound ...

hope that helps...

I use the Unger pole, five sections, and think it's great; better than my old 18" Ionics pole.

But another member here, swears by Cleantechs alluminium pole; says it's better than the Unger pole and it's extremely inexpensive (cheap but good kit).

I'm getting one.

Tony,

I see you live in Brum, if you want to see one of the poles first there are several Unger distributors round by you, if you wanted you could then shop around and see if you could get it cheaper elsewhere if you wanted.

1) Myona
2) Dowding and Plummer
3) J.K Cleaning

They are 3 that spring to mind without checking as not back at work until Tuesday.
