Hi Pj Same here in Oxford but the sun is trying to break out. Need to get a heater fo my van. Have a look at my thread titled 'which heater for van' (or something like that) and let me know your opinion!

No such thing as bad weather, just inadequate clothing. ;D
So Malc's alluring winter wear is:-
Underpants(!) ;D Two pairs of socks Jeans (if weather dry) add regatta waterproof leggings if wet walking boots collarless t-shirt collared t-shirt thin sweater (if windy add fleece - but feels a bit restrictive) workwear industrial cotton jacket regatta waterproof with hood polythene gloves (like you get at diesel pumps) sealskins (re=inforced at wear points with duct tape) Woolly hat
Hi-vis vest when working commercial or in fog
I look gorgeous in that get-up! Eat your heart out pro-pole!

Yep cold down here in Plymouth today, when i started at 8 this morning i think the temperature was 0 :(

Thing is, it's normal winter temperature really. It could be like this for months like last year.
It's just a shock to the system because we've been spoilt by 13 or 14c lately, and it's suddenly dropped of by 10c. :o

didnt get above -1 all day here
i wasnt too worried as ive stopped work now for christmas, today was my little un's nativity play, so i went to that and helped out a bit and that was the best part of the day over ;)

Kept all my gear frost free overnight.
Did 2 houses & then the hose on my short pole froze.
Stuck it back in the van and continued using my 20' pole for everything - Toned the shoulder muscles! ;D
1/2 hour later short pole was ready to use again.
Just lucky the hose on my longer pole didn't freeze.
-2 to 4 degrees C tomorrow!
Can't wait ;D

I was lovely & warm today. Hot water (not too hot in case of cracking panes of single glazing windows as it was very cold today) and I wore my ski trousers today for the first time this year. Wear sensible clothing and you can't go wrong. I highly recommend ski-trousers (Lovely and warm)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I suffer from chronic arthritus and when the weather is extremely cold but dry I am the happiest window cleaner on this forum because my arthritus is at it's least painful. I Absolutely love this weather, the colder the better I say. If it snows or is a few degrees below freezing you will find me outside somewhere cleaning someones windows singing my head off and feeling very, very happy. Does anybody else like this cold weather or am I the only one?

Hi guys,
Bit foggy today......but it was boiling all day in Loughton......BUT that was probably due to the thermal top, bottoms, water proofs, big warm jumper, 2 pairs of socks water proof jacket and big warm hat and gloves. 8)
Was a bit cold first thing tho ;)

Had a great start, nothing froze as wrapped everything up overnight. Was a little slippery about but really got going and did £80 by 12 which is v good for me, got in van and bat dead aaaaahhhhhhhhhh could not believe it, new bat £50 2 hours lost but had call to do 2 6 bed houses of mine inside so day ended good afterall xmas greetings to one and all simbo
