We must've had about 60 quid in tips, I don't really count them.

On top of that we've had three lots of chocolate and two bottles of wine; one quite a nice bottle.

But we're really slacking at the moment.  I doubt there's been 25 hours of work a week that's been done since October!

I've only had about £30 - £35 so far.  I'm not complaining.  I don't do it for the tips anyway.  I've also had a bottle of wine and two boxes of choc licquers.  I gave them away as I don't like the taste of it anyway.

£150 in cash, £10 Argos Gift Voucher, 2 bottles of red wine, oh a bottle of Moet & Chandon.

The only way to get decent tips is to go collecting on a regular basis & build up a friendship with your customers. I often take my 2 girls collecting with me, my customers love them & ask where they are if they don't come with me.

Wonder how much you guys get who operate a SAE scheme, not many I bet.

We did well today, one lady (I charge her 8.50) gave us a 20 quid note and told us to keep the change.  Two further tips of five quid and two bottles of wine from two other customers.

So that's about 60 to 70 quid, four bottles of wine, three lots of chocolates and a partridge in a pear tree.

JM,

I know you live in Northern Ireland but the National CDL sounds like one of those terrorist organisations like the Irish National Liberation Army.

I hope your donation is all above board!

I reckon I've had about £50 altogether.  No problem with that.  In some respects I would rather not have any as it can sometimes make it a little harder to keep things focussed on a business footing.

I had two bottles of wine again today.

One from a pub and one from an off-license!

Still only about £140 altogether though.
Like someone said, I think most likely tipping areas were done too early in the month.

Mind you, I did a few today in a good area I wouldn't normally have got to yet.
The others can wait. ;D

FOUR QUID TODAY!  Tightwads!  As Ian Lacaster has pointed out, I cleaned long-standing customers today and the only tip was from a new account.

So I think our total is about 80 quid, five bottles of wine and three or four lots of confectionary.

Hi Tosh, I donate my tips to te National Canine Defence League.  We got our last dog from there when he was around 5years old (golden cocker spaniel used in dog fights), we had him for 16years and I collect for the ncdl every summer, posting envelopes in peoples doors and collecting them again (once they've put some change in them).  Its surprising just how many people don't give anything and just return an empty envelope, makes me mad.

My tip this year are slightly down from last years.
I put it down to SAE as last year i used to call back for money but not any more.
And they mostly just send the cheque for the correct amount.
