Title: lines in upholstery
Post by: craigp on December 18, 2006, 12:21:06 pm
i had a customer recently whom had use a steamer of some kind and did his drylon 3 piece with it,

the head of steamer had very stiff brushes about 1/4" apart, left nasty lines,

i've cleaned said upholstery, got water nice and hot thinking it may brush out when wet..

nope,

i think he's heat set the brush lines in,

is there any cure ?

maybe steam, and brush back ?

upholstery looks like a tiger, lol

in a word no.
if you try using heat to re set it you could end up causing more damage. leave it alone youve done all that can be expected .

The  memory of the nap has been reset with the heat and is now changed for good.
Would not waste my time trying to set it back.
Have seen this loads of times by DIY customers :o
