Title: Internal office cleaning

Hello everyone on this side of the forum. By trade im a window cleaner but have been offered a internal cleaning job from one of my commercial customers.

The job is a one off and i can clean it at my leisure, they want all the walls washed down, skirting borads wash down ect.

The skirting borads are coverd in scuff marks from where people have hit them with there shoes and the walls have greasy finger marks on them.

How do i remove such marks and with what products shall i use?

All so there is a kichen floor with is sticky and greasy. What is the best way to clean it so it looks kind of new?

Hope this all makes sense ???

We have done a couple of similar jobs, all depends how old the building is. If it hasn't been decorated for a long time, it can be difficult to bring skirtings and walls etc back as new.

For the skirting boards, you could use a multi- surface cleaner in a trigger spray, spray on, leave for a minute, then wipe off..might take some marks off, while cleaning them.

For greasy floors, we use Citra Clean or Orange Squirt, which we get from Greenhams.

Mop it on floor, generously, leave to 'work', and mop dry, very good strong cleaner!

Well, thats a start...any one else with a few tips ?

Hi Stuart,

When you say wash the walls, I assume that these are painted walls, TEST an area first, some really cheap paints are slapped up in commercial premises, if all ok a neutral cleanser should suffice, hard work though!

Skirtings, I would use the correct amount of Ultra Pac Renovate, yes I know its expensive, in a trigger, spray and leave for a couple of minutes, then wipe off.

Kitchen floor, again Ultra Pac, mop on, leave, use a rotary, then suck up, then rinse with clean water, then depending on type of floor convince client to have it sealed/protected, regards.

The building is only 3 years old and the walls are wallpapered. (sorry should have said abouth that bit)
