Ok so the poll says it all, just wondering what people prefer to use Brass or Stainless Steel, obviously im meaning with Squeege's and Channels.

Hi,
When I started in the EARLY 80s all you could buy was brass, but for every different size channel you brought you had to buy a handle to fit it to. Now I use stainless steel channels of all sizes but with just the one quick release handle. AND NO END CLIPS!

got to be brass looks much cooler!

In the early days it was brass but those clips were a right pain so i swiched to S/S. ;D
Now i'm a pro window cleaner so i use my pole ;)

Make your mind up Macc, one or the other. ;)
Brass is great, it looks so nice.
You don't need brass clips, just use the plastic Unger ones.
Or do what I do, and don't use any.
It keeps the edge of the squeegee into the edges of the glass, and retracts in a bit if you push in too hard. Magic. :)

Prefer ones with rubbers on the outside to keep my hands warm.
So when I come home to give me woman a cuddle she doesnt say " get off me your hands are too cold" ;D ;D

What's the difference between brass and s/s anyway? I can't think of any reasons (apart from looks) why you should get one or the other?
-
weight and end clips. brass for me.
-
Just submitted my vote for brass
BUT, does anybody know what if any does not feel so cold in winter? Although i use rubbers on my sqeegee it would b interesting to know?

The first time you drop a brass one, you mite aswell throw it away!!!
S/S all the way although I did start with brass.
Who's hands have ever locked on brass squeege's?

so you like a brass then pro?

Ok So whats the difference between Brass and S/S?
Well I don't think it so much has to do with that but the handles them self, quick release or screw up back.
I have to say i've never been told by people who use brass it's because of the look of them, although a lot of you who use brass have said it mainly stems from the fact it was what you started with. This goes with what I've been told before.
As ducky said though tere is obviously a difference in weight between the handles.
For the brass users who said about handle covers, you can get replacable grip's that you could use in the winter only if you don't like getting the golden pro handles.
i am suprised though only 1 person mentioned the Ergotec. So al you S/S users you go for traditional S Grip or Pro handles then?

I prefer S/S as it is a bit lighter. Also, you don't need end clips with S/S.
