Been a busy boy tonight, put a website template together , all the buttons are working but not active, the little moving advert isn't finished yet need to add a load more frames to it, it can be a little tunnel visioned when you look at the same thing for hours so wondered if anyone has any opinions? i know i posted something about a different design a little while ago so i'm sorry if its a little boring but some comments would be appreciated if possible, If not then no worries ;D
Once i've got my template then thats where having to get the content sorted comes in, that is where the hard work really starts as i haven't a clue yet what to write.

-

-
Where did you get the template from?
-
i made it, but once i've got it finalised then its just adding content
-
craig jwc,
Why do you use a .info domain for your website instead of .co.uk or .com?

When i was thinking of having a website i thought i would just mess about and see what i could do with the program i downloaded, and as i wasn't sure what to do got a .info address as it was only £1.
I am looking at changing later but would like to learn how too make templates etc too see if i can do it myself. That's why i asked Steve where he got the template from.
If not then i will probably look at getting someone to do it for me.
I saw your post about making sites and have your number.
I just like messing about on the pc and learning about the things i can do.

Its the best way craig you'll just keep learning more and more
-
Steve
What program do you use to do the template?
Craig
-
i do all the artwork in Photoshop and then construct the webpages in Dreamweaver
I'm no web programmer but i used photoshop for around 4-5 years so thats where i benefit most
-
Been looking at getting Dreamweaver.
Haven't got Photoshop on pc at the moment. It was on my old pc but i can't find what i did with it :-\
You might find a few posts on here for you if i get stuck ;D ;D
My site does work for me but i would like a better looking one.
-
if it ain't broke why fix it? if your site works for you then its all good
get yourself a crack copy cause its free (who said that :P) if not i'm sure there cheap enough on ebay nowadays
-
My problem is i'm never happy with it and want to change it hours after i have altered it.
Just want it to look not so Mickey Mouse if you know what i mean ;D
-
I know what you mean, get yourself a copy of photoshop preferebly CS version as it has more web functions than older ones and if you need any help in using i'll try to explain some basic things in creating a simple template to start and then just keep playing and you will find out more and more
If you would of seen some of my first creations (websites) then you'll see how much i've learned as i've progressed, its all trial and error
-
What do you pay for your hosting etc and who's it with?
-
webfusion.com
£5.95 a month
there is cheaper around but i found these reliable and good support (if you ever need it)
-
Like it Steve, very pro. ;D
-
cheers macc its appreciated!

Cheers for that mate, will have Dreamweaver soon ::)
