Just bought a x reg year 2000 ford transit 2.5d swb low roof van and would like to fit a bulkhead into it.
It looks a bit messy as the runner of the door runs in the inside of the van and you would have a bit of cutting out to do.
Just wondering does any one have a trasit this shape with a bulkhead fitted and maybe some pics of it that would help me out when making it?
Cheers
Matthew

Hi
Why not phone your nearest Ford Commercial Centre and ask them who they get in to plyline their vans. Phone the plyliners up and they will usually come to you and fit what you want at a convenient time.
They do it quickly as they already have templates and know exactly what to do which will save you messing about. It will probably cost about £40 - £50's tops.

Yes i have.
I fitted a wooden bulkhead myself.
Pain in the arse to measure the shape as it curves both sides.
Anyway there is bolt holes on the transit for a bulkhead what i did was cut the shape of the bulkhead with my jigsaw.
You need to cut a section out at the top for the arm of the side door.
Put some bolts in the holes a screw right down.
Put a bit of grease on the head of each bolt.
And push the wooden bulkhead onto that.
Pull the bulkhead away and you have marks for all the bolts on your bulkhead.
Drill out these marks the so the bolts a tight fit going through.
Now remove all the bolts and put your bulkhead in and fix down with bolts.
Hope this helps.
Sorry no picks as you can't see a lot of the bulkhead now as the my tank and other stuff cover it up.
