last winter I was very concerned about my machines freezing in the back of the van overnight. It occured to me that the innards of my machine are the same as a cars i e water pump and pipes so I thought why not put a little antifreeze in the machine at the end of the day. It worked a treat and my machine never froze once. Here in the Highlands it can get as low as minus twenty some nights.

never leave any of my gear on the vans due to worrieing they may get broken into , so in the house it all goes

its ok putting a little anti freeze in your machines, but what about all of your valves etc on your tools, and your solution lines water is still in these?

Hi Geoff, I take my floor and hand tool into the house. When I'm putting anti freeze in the machine I run the pump until the hoses contain antifreeze.
