I was offered the chance to advertise in a local mag today. It's being put together for a local surgery and handed to existing and new clients. The cost for a quater page with a quarter page editorial[ so effectivly a half page] was £360 a year. It's an A5 size glossy mag looks ok, so I was wondering has anyone tried this form of advertising? :)

I had a doctors offer me a similar opportunity.
They are apparently obliged to communicate certain information to their patients and therefore try to off set this by adverts such as this offered.
I said no thank you.
I thought it unlikely to be a publication that would create much if any work.
But hey if you have the spare dosh - seems a little heavy for a doctors publication!

Save your money.

No. You could get lucky, but No.
I would prefer my chances at the bookies with the £360.
Good Luck

Been there a couple of years ago.Dont go with it as you get very little if any work. And it is a very high cost.

Have also been there, spent alot and got nothing back, not even an enquiry.
I agree with all others here, save your money.
