I know this question came up a little while ago but really need some new boots and just wondered what you'd recommend?
I'm thinking something comforatble (trainer like) that doesn't let water in
any suggestions
cheers in advance

After trying loads of diferent things, i would recommend a good pair of leather hiking boots. Very light, comfortable and waterproof.
Mine were £80 but i've probably spent 3 times that in the past few years buying rubbish.

Rigger boots. No laces. They're great; water proof, easy to slip into and out of; brilliant for when a 'grannys' asks, 'Can you do the inside of my kitchen window?'
You just slip 'em off.

I hope you mean your boots :o

I use Hiking Boots, Very comfortable and gives your ankles support.
Thought about Rigger Boots but they look a bit clumsy to me.
You slip your boots on and off often then Tosh ;) ;D

I use Peter Storm ankle boots - waterproof, lightweight, robust, supportive and they cost about £35 from camping shops. I think they are a hiking/walking boot.

I bought peter Storm leather hiking boots on Saturday from Milletts outdoor shop. They were originally £60 but 20% discount brought them down to £48.
Fully waterproof, good grips and warm.

I have been wearing these past 2 weeks a pair of MEINDL walking boots, which I bought from Blacks for £64.00.
They are like trainers in that the material does not come over my ankles. But they are made from leather and suede and have a Gortex lining, So my feet can breath but stay dry as thay are 100% waterproof.
Not to heavy and not as clumsy as boots that come over the ankles.
Highly recommended.
