£50 a week? Hay mate, I've only done 15 cleaning jobs and in that I've used about 15ltrs of chem's, and I've got about £360. sat in my garage.

I went out to get some gravy granules at tea time for my pie, does this count as stock?

Something is very wrong, with what you're doing.
A ltr of chemical per job is just plain crazy, unless these are very big jobs, but are they, or are you just dumping chemical into your machine.
Get yourself onto a course and you will find out about the realities of cleaning and the basics of diluting, prespraying and rinsing / flushing.
You can purchase powders for as little as £18 per 10 Kilo tub and 5 litres of presprays or carpet cleaner for around £5, which will give pretty amazing results.
So, you could do 15 jobs per week for around £5.

Yes matey,
At the start I was going through to many chems, but I'm still learning the ropes?
I have done a NCCA course but a lot of the course content was not really tailored for beginers, however at the end of the course it did install that fear in me of Up" a client's carpet!
But anyway I've got a lot to learn yet.
