Sorry mods I know this is not the right area for this topic, But I feel is important enough for the members to be posted for all to see.
I had this email sent to me today from one of my good customers.
Be alert during the next few days:
Don't open any message with an attached file called "Invitation", regardless of who sent it.
It's a virus that opens an Olympic Torch that "burns" the whole hard disk of your computer. This virus will come from someone who has your e-mail address; that's why you should send this e-mail to all your contacts. It's better to receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus .
This is the worst virus announced by CNN, it's been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever. The virus was discovered by McAfee yesterday, and there's no repair yet for this particular virus. It simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disk, where vital information is kept.
Also , e-mails with pictures of Osama Bin-Laden hanged are being sent and the moment you open these emails your computer will crash and you will not be able to fix it! This e-mail is being distributed through countries around the globe, but mainly in the US and Israel .. Don't be inconsiderate; send this warning to whomever you know. If you get an email along the lines of "Osama Bin Laden Captured" or "Osama Hanged" don't open the attachment.

Don't worry Jeff, this is a scam email.
If there was such a virus the big security guys would have announced it properly.
This has been around for over a year.
The object of such scams is to get everyone sending this email alert to eachother. Imagine literally millions of users all sending one another the same warning!
Mission accomplished! The system slows down due to over use. Just a waste of time.
On the other hand, you should never open attachments from unknowns or even slightly suspicious ones.

It's always good to be alert to these malicious attacks. You can't really have too many reminders.

the old "Zero Sector of the Hard Disk" has been a hoax for years, every since the old 33.6 modem days ;)
