Where do you guys get your replacement parts from?
I have a couple of pics here for you and I would like to know if it's poss to replace these parts and if there a standard uk fit?
Matthew
-
Mathew-how much do you charge for a lounge carpet and a three piece suite? Are you getting the work?
Damian.
-
Hi,
They are standard parts, contact our site Host for details, or Vernon Purcell at Masterclean.
Regards,
Adam.
-
Matthew, it might be a better investment to just replace the entire wand and hoses. Then just get the spares from wherever you source the new "stuff" from. Surely you dont take what is pictured into a customers home? Best, Dave.
-
Matthew,
I forgot to add that if that is the level of oxydisation/corrosion on your wand god knows what's inside your pump, valves and supply pipes. Maybe time to invest in a new wand.
Regards,
Adam.
-
Dave ;D
You obviously can type faster than me ;)
Regards,
Adam.
-
My point exactly :o Matthew-do you get any sort of suction at the tool head? The re-inforced hosing after the trigger valve is shot and your solution hose upto then is ready to let go chap! Hope you dont have a 500 psi pump or it will be party time ;D Bin the lot and go wild on plastic i'm afraid!!!
Damian.
-
To put all your minds at ease! I do not take that wand into a customers house. It came as a spare with the machine I got.
Out of interest where is the best place to buy a wand. (A good quality cheap one)?
Matthew
-
Personally i would INVEST in a new wand, it'll be better looking better drying and easier to pull.
Shaun
DAVE nice to hear from you, did you sort out your rug?

I can't believe how much you guys on this side of the forum assume things!!! :o
IT A OLD SPARE WAND AND HOSE!!!!!!!!!!
-
Nick at solutions, Prochem wands are discounted if you buy from a dealer, Vernon always seems to have some good stuff but I don't know his company name.
Just spend half an hour on the web.
Shaun
-
shaun,
Could I pick up a good quality 2 jet wand for under £150?
Matthew

OK Matthew, Keep your hair on! It just sent us all alarm bells as you never stated that in your origional post 8)

I didn't know I needed to state that as the ORIGINAL thread was "wand fittings" not "here's my old spare wand that I don't take to a customers house" ::)

hi mathew
heres one on ebay item no 130050220968 under carpet cleaning
stainless steel wand
davy
-
Matthew-why picture it asking for new parts then? The parts are all standard stuff, off the shelf so to speak. But a picture like that creates a vivid nightmare for the owner :o I never assume, but you gave the picture that what you intended was repairing this "well used but in working order" bit of good looking kit ;D
Damian.
-
Hi
Matt at www.cleansmartsupplies.co.uk (http://www.cleansmartsupplies.co.uk) did have a stainless steel, twin jet wand on special offer at a good price.
Dave
-
ASSUME!
Makes an ass of u and me ;D
Night all ;)
-
It might be worth advertising in the for sale section.
Give vernn at master clean a call as he has new products all of the time and his website it too old.
He's a great bloke.
Don't trust that scutter Annable he's from Manchester don't you know.(that's wher they send them from eastenders)
Shaun

Clear Vision. I think the problem was that you were suggesting to change the parts and therefore once changed you would have gone into a customers house. Otherwise why start the post? But if thats not the case then why change the fittings on something you arent going to take into a home. If the post was just about where to get fittings then why the picture? Best, Dave.
-
thanks for the links.
Cant get the master clean link to work? any one have that link?
I saw the one on ebay but do you think it's any good?

All I want to know is where you guys get your spare parts from. I only took a pic for illustration purposse ONLY as it would take me a week to describe the parts. I never intend to use tat wand!
Matthew
-
Ok hands up!
After reading my first post it could be taken the wrong way and is a bit miss-leading. Sorry.
All i'm on here for is to find as much information as I can to help me.
-
Hi
Shaun the worrying thing for you is i'm actually from Salford.
Sheffield isn't that far away.
Dave
PS Whats a scutter ?
PPS I think i've got a 3 jet bane wand in the garage going cheap !
-
Thankyou Dave-a voice of reckoning! Matthew, Vernon's old website was masterclean. It is now carpetcleaningworld. Have finally dealt with him and he is a decent fella-his missus is very pleasant too! Wouldn't have any reservations about dealing again soon.
Damian.
-
Matthew most suppliers will stock these parts but your better off finding a good hydrolics place as a lot of fittings will come cheaper, plus the trigger valves can be repaired with rebuild kits or simply take apart and replace the o rings again a cheaper option see http://www.interlinksupply.com/Repair_Videos/ for further help

Thanks james,
Will get back to you with regards to the email.

thanks david_m,
My machine Is next to new and when I post pics of it the rest of the guys might change your opinion of me! (cowboy springs to mind!)
My other wand I use is a lot better, it's just that I couldn't be bothered going out to the garage so as the "old" & "spare" wand was to hand I just used it for illustration purposses only.
I have NEVER cleaned a customers carpet and I will not be untill I have learned and practised as much as I can. I also have a course to go on and a manual to read before I even attempt to clean a customers carpet. I just practice on my own for now.
I just want to find out as much as I can and I respect the fact that most of you chaps on here are VERY experienced and I will welcome any advice with open arms.
Back to the wand on ebay! What would be the most to pay for it???
Cheers
Matthew
-
Craig, there are many places you can get them from and they are generally less expensive than c/c suppliers. You have my number give me a bell as there are suppliers near you. Best, Dave.

Hi Matthew,
Your last post is almost Identical to one I posted last August before I started in this biz. The only difference being I did my NCCA course about 2 months before I found out about these forums, so I already had a head start on where to look and what to look for. You are definately not a Cowboy, as you are doing your research first and gaining as much knowledge as possible before touching a clients carpet and that's a good thing.
P.s. The body of my Diamondback is no oil painting either but it works brilliant and as I am doing mostly 2 up 2 down residential houses, I tend to leave it outside and run 50ft. Inside the house is where impressions count. If I have a large house and have to take it inside, I find that if the client is watching they tend to be watching me and the results I am obtaining. As long as the carpet or suite is coming up nicely you could have a Dalek in the house for all they woud care.
Stick in,
Adam :) Email me at techniclean@hotmail.co.uk

if you are after a budget wand then craftex sell a decent 3 jet wand for £138. I used to have this wand and after changing the valve it was the best wand i had.

Hi All,
My thought fo the day:-
I had a fellow tradesman tell me once, that if you turn up at a customers house with all shiny new tools it gives the impression they've hardly been used and you dont have much experience ::)
On the other hand well worn in ones show you've been around the block a few times and have done many jobs (if you know what i mean).
I'm not advocating taking beat up tools with you, but there is some logic in there some where ;D
regards
steve

Thanks mike.
Just off the phone to them and they will deliver it for £162.00 inc vat
Why did you change the valve? Is the one that they supply it with not up to much?
Cheers
Matthew
-
I used it with a truckmount and it could'nt handle the pressure ( 350psi) or the heat.
and it's plastic so won't take a hard knock. it cost £18 for a new PMf valve so not a lot to fork out
Mike
-
Just keep an eye on e bay.
This wand went for only £26 today.

I picked up a twin jet stainless steel last week for £53.
I would just bin that wand of yours in the picture.
I thought you only paid £50 for your machine and 2 wands? ;)

Chris
Correct chris. Thats all I paid for it.
It just had a new vac fitted 2 months ago and the pump was replaced 4 months ago.
I know the pump would cost about £120 but not sure about the vac. So i thought £50 was a good deal! ;)
That wand went cheap on ebay! But it was only a single jet! I would like a twin jet.
Matthew

Is this a good wand and a good price?
The reserve is £130.

Again, why bother? It looks unprofessional turning up to someones house with that set up. It would look to the customer that you couldn't care for your equipment so how could you take care of their carpets. No, just get a new one!
-
For such a big "business man" ??? you really get your wires crossed!!!
The link I posted is for a "brand new" wand!
So why are you telling me not to bother???
How on earth can you manage 100's maybe 1000's of rental units if you cant even get your facts and comments right on here???

I don't, we have a full board of directors with managers for each departments. The Commercial Manager looks after the rental and cleaning department. I own the company with the majority share holding. Anything else you want to know lovey??

:o
-
Matt, from the picture your wand seems to be in very bad condition, i hope that non of your customers see it!
Why are you considering even using the thing, why not just buy a new one for gods sake.

matt. you amaze me! :o Another narrow minded lemming!
For your records I do NOT intend to use it in anyones house. The pictures were for illustration purposses only. I just wanted to ask where I could get spare fittings for a wand!
Just read the whole topic before you jump in with narrow minded useless comments like that!
-
This forum used to be really good! Now it's full of arguments and useless info.
Don't get me wrong as there are a lot of decent people on here with a vast ammount of knowledge.

they are just down the rd from me ,very good prices

I still think you would be better buying a brand new wand than using that piece of tat!
-
This is a money making opurtunity, turn up with that old wand and ask for £50 NOT to use it on the carpets lol.
-

-
Robbie
Try: http://www.spraytips.co.uk/ they're very good.
-
Dont worry there
If its spares you want I have them
Vernon ;)
-
Dear Vernon.
When your company sends me a Mail shot would you be kind enough to put enough stamps on it please.
Cost me £1.14 to retrieve from post office.
Kind Regards
Ian
-
I also got one of these mail shots
-
You asked "is this a good wand" survey says, " not if it's the one I got from them and it looks exactly the same
A lightweight wand, which, in my case, failed to shut off, from day one, but I'm afraid I never bothered to send it back
There are better options elsewhere
robbie
-
Matt,
The fitments look very old and tired on that wand. If you replace them you will have new fitments on an old wand.
Why not just buy a new wand, dont think there that expensive.
-
Sorry Ian
Our franking machine ran out of ink and my wife put some stamps on the last 100 or so just to get them out.
But now you know of the cheapest cleaning machine is 135 psi pump 2x3 Stage vacuums stainless steel and wand vacuum and solution hose set
Bargain 999.00+ vat
