Title: Which rubbers? (to order tonight)
Post by: Sir Squeaky on November 20, 2006, 10:09:41 pm
Hi All.

I've managed to run out of squeegee rubber without ordering more. ::)
I'll have to order tonight and battle through tomorrow with a useless piece...

I got fed up with Unger cutting up and leaving lines...

I'm using Pulex soft now, but it's more like hard.
Doesn't cut up, but doesn't slip very fast either.
Also it goes "blunt" rather quickly. >:(

What's the Ettore stuff like?
I've heard SYR is good, correct?

Thanks in advance, Rog.

Roger,

Do you want a couple of mine?

I'll leave them on my doorstep if you want it.  It's Pulex; a good quality rubber.

No probs.

Do you know where I live?  I'm near the Tesco Express in Thornwell.

E-mail me and I'll return your e-mail with my address.

Tosh.

Cheers!

Still undecided on the ones to order...

They're all on 4, as I gave one vote to Pulex so I could see the poll results.

Unger are best, in my opinion.  I've tried them all.
This time of year Unger hard for outside, soft for inside.

No votes for SYR?

Looking back through old threads they seemed to be spoken highly of.
Maybe I'll take a gamble... :-\

Pulex and SYR ordered.

Back to Pulex if I don't like them then.

Ettore >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( Dont talk to me about Ettore >:(

Stick to the Purlex or Unger Squeaks, you know it makes sense.

Or try that SYR type your all waffling on about ;)

Not pathetic at all. I take the view that if one type of rubber is going to get nicked and then thrown away, it's not going to be a dear one!

Do Vileda still do rubbers?

They've been going cheap at Cleantech for ages - Mike can't get rid of the stuff.

we've used Unger 3* for a while now - pretty good but then never really found a huge difference between them and Unger soft and the Pulex rubbers.

Have an ettore super channel 30inch, you wanna try swivelling that!
