Title: Conservatory cleans
Post by: niceandclean on November 20, 2006, 04:37:19 pm
I have bought some Traffic Film Remover to use to clean conservatory roofs. Is this ok to use, as all ive done in the past is use the water fed pole, but i have one next week that is extremely dirty and thought this would loosen off the moss and algee?

TFR is the biz, i use it all the time. It cut all dirt off in no time.

Spray the roof over, give it 5 mins, (coffee) i connect to outside tap brushing over then rince with pure water. Perfect every time.  ;D

No probs mate, i was given the tip on here, its about  £11-£12 for 5 ltr.

With mine its 5 parts water 1 part TFR.

I got a sray bottle for about a tenner.

Give the roof a good spray over, getting in the corners, nocks & crannys, you know what i mean, the dirt etc falls off.  ;)

It tells you on the back of bottle, make sure its none-caustic.

I get a 25 Litre drum for £18, not that you'll ever need that amount  ;) that is a massive amount!

You dilute less to aggitate more. The only thing is when you use in a more neat state don't leave it on to long or it could start to stain or do damage, thats why i use it in a weaker state

Well I get mine from the local car wash, £5 for 5 ltrs, I dilute it 20 - 1,  I'm assuming its the non caustic type as its put on vehicles and would do paint damage otherwise surely?

What is the different uses of caustic and non-caustic TFR ?

I do have a set of con roof ladders. The spray bottle is pumped & can spray up to 8-10 foot so i dont use the ladders all the time.
