Title: Bad Customer Anti-Site
Post by: simon knight on November 16, 2006, 08:04:38 pm

Along with all of us I've had a few non-payers, time-wasters, not-this-month punters etc etc....

Is there any way that Cleanitup.co.uk can have a register of crap customers...name and address and "offence".

Perhaps the register can be by area (nationwide) so when you get a new customer you can check the register to see if they've a bad history.....a bit like credit rating.

EDIT....what do you reckon?....is it possible/legal?

It may well be legal but it could lead to civil action if you can't prove any allegation that is made - particularly in respect of non-payment.  I suppose they would have to find out first though.

You can't publicly list peoples addresses and details etc... online or offline can you because of the data protection act?

Quite possibly, though I think it would probably be the accompanying info that would be the real problem.  After all, the names and addresses by themselves are only what is contained in the public domain (electoral register) anyway.
I wouldn't want to put it to the test though.
