Anyone try it?

What kind of results do you think you get from a display ad?

Think about it - would you use it or yellow pages if you were looking for someone?

Depends on what you expect for your money, if you expect it to produce you a domestic round you will prob be disappointed, you will get a few large domestic one offs.

If your more commercial its always handy to have some ads out in the yellows.

Phone books are doing a similar type ad as yellow pages but it is a new thing and not proven yet.

sorry to say it was crap, they use to own yellow pages, then sold it for millions a few years ago,
they are now trying to use there name bt, as far as am concerned yellow pages has stuck in the minds of 99% of customers, i parted with the money, its yellow pages for me next time,

Two years ago I put a small add - about four inches square - in the Yellow Pages, BT phone book, the Thompson local and our local Resident's phone book and the response was fairly limited.

The local resident's handbook, a slim publication that gets delivered to every house in the Chepstow area was about the best for a response, but these were either residential inquiries or a tiny number of small commercial work.

The residential work I got wasn't much really, since most of the enquiries in this department were for small properties away from the places where I'm already established.

I did get asked to provide one quote for a big Hilton Hotel and they got my number from the Yellow Pages.

This year I've only put an add in the Yellow Pages and plan to take a more direct approach for getting some largeish commercial work.
