Hi, I'm new to the forum. Great site! I'm looking to either upgrade or purchase new machine. I currently run 135psi ninja. Have spoken to both Martin and Dereck and they recommend upgrading to 400psi and super vac. I have also looked at the mytee speedster. Any thoughts? Are there any other machines you guys could recommend?
-
hi there, yes we have just bought the 400 P.S.I. and the super vac, its great.
-
So Martin didn't suggest buying a Rhino then?
I was thinking of upgrading. Did they say whether wand jets need altering?
Don't forget weight issues and have you considered more heat may achieve better results too for a lot less (non-ashby inlines)

Mike, he didn't mention the rhino. Apparently the jets don't need altering. I am considering increased heat and for that reason have had a quote for a 450psi-super vacs-double heater mytee speedster. the cost is about £1900 includingvat. to upgrade the ninja will cost about £1500.

Sorry Dennis, i was being a bit sarcastic about a rhino. What I meant was he's only going to push his upgrade isn't he, not another product.
Atleast with the ninja you are used to using it and wouldn't have to sell on to recoupe some cash. On the other hand these mods are nearly as expensive as a new alternative.
Why not see if you can source the motor elsewhere, I think it's pretty standard. As for the vac well it's a fair bit of cash. There has been a thread on this sort of thing.
You can even go truckmounted with the Ninja in this configuration. And then there were two. 8)

Every time I use my (which is now quite often :() 135psi ninja am disappointed at presser, but it dose the business and never had a customer complaint (bit on the heavy side got the dry cleaning kit think that needs to come out)
Regarding heat there is in some quarters within our fraternity no need for it, something about the cleaning agent you use!

Where can you get a mytee speedster for £1900 including vat.
Our they reliable?
There is no heater control so how hot does water get compared to Ninja.
How reliable is pump etc.
At £1900 do you get warranty?
Do the 2inch vac pipes make a big diffrence.
Can you use 1.5inch tools
As they are a lot cheaper over the pond I wonder what you are getting in terms of quality.
Has anyone tried buying Carpet Cleaning equipment on US bases just a thought , they might sell them so that they can clean all the rented houses us airforce personel own.

I have used 2" hoses on an entirely different machine and it does make all the differance to the drying aspect, but 2" hoses are a bit awkward to handle

I've not seen him advertising them on there recently, he also does vac motors. I can dig out an email if you like.

Fingers crossed no probs. Only thing I've had is the cloth bag filter came off and the ball cage bunged up causing moisture through the vacs-not happened since.
Matt at Cleansmart used to praise them now he doesn't. never got to the bottom of it.
There is no heater control so how hot does water get compared to Ninja. You have two switchable inline heaters. It's not quite as hot as the Ninja with both heaters on, but made up for in other areas
How reliable is pump etc. No probs as yet, tend to use plain water or acid rinse.
At £1900 do you get warranty? He said 12 months, with local service agent.
Do the 2inch vac pipes make a big diffrence. Don't use them yet, will do when I have machine working truckmounted.
Can you use 1.5inch tools use an adaptor connector and 10ft of 1.5 easy to work with anyway.
As they are a lot cheaper over the pond I wonder what you are getting in terms of quality. They seem flimsyer than a ninja, but still up to job.
