Just won a Flojet Pump on ebay anyone know anything about it? we currently use a duplex 2 flojet but this seemed cheap so thought i'd buy it, i had a look at the spec and it says it pumps 12.5 litres a minute my other ones only pump 7.5. any help about this pump would be appreciated. is it any good?

Have you a link to this product?

this link has the full dpec, it seems to be more powerful than the duplex

QUOTE FROM THE SPEC:
PRESSURE SWITCH - cuts in at 1bar (15psi) - cuts out at 2.4bar (35psi)
I think you bought a turkey :(
If its for powering a decent length of hose that is.

Yes i noticed that also i hope you didn't pay much for it as its only 35psi.
You should be able to do most houses with it ok though, Just don't use microbore as that will restrict it further.

oh well damn!
it was gonna be used for one length of micro bore 100m...but!
i have one pump running 2 microbore (duplex 2) if i then go in to the new one wouldn't that boost it enough for the last reel
(3 reels with 100m length microbore on each.)
-
just by-pass the pressure switch, then your ok :)
-
i was just reading about that on another page matt, what would happen would the pump burn out at all? could i not just get a bigger pressure switch?

Best Solution - Buy a Varistream & disconnect the pressure switch. The Varistream will then control the pump.
You will then have a good system for the price of a Varistream + Cheap Pump.
