i,ve just tried both these products after years of fairy liquid and find them quite good, i've only tried them each for a few days. i find that on some glass the unger can smear quite bad but then work perfect on the next window.the gg3 works good too but at the recommended dilution does not give enough glide, upped the concentrate and is much better.
just wondered what your oppinions are on these (proffesional) liquids and if you have any tips for me i.e.- dilution ratios, sqeegee pressure etc, to may-be save me going through a longer trial and error period.
thanks

ease up on the pressure you apply when using GG3 and you will find that it glides pretty well , someone described it as about as much pressure as when you are holding a childs hand which i think describes it well
-
sussed it today, the ultimate solution
- unger liquid (ratio @ 100 to 1 as directed) + a cap-full of gg3. wey hey, works a treat, loads of glide and hardly any soap to clean up, glass gleams too.

I found gg3 wreaks havoc on your hands and they burn by the end of the day. I've used Glimmer Clean for a few years now and I've always preferred it to Unger
-
yeh, it does a bit, gonna use some barrier cream seef that helps.

Tony,
I bet after a month, you'll be back onto the good ole green stuff.

Ha, your probably right mate, you know what its like though, always searching for that mirracle "this is going to change my working life forever" solution!! ;D

I think a good fresh rubber makes life a lot easier. The moment I detect any change in quality in my rubber I turn it around and if it's still not top notch I change it for a new one.
I try to detail as little as possible.
That's better than any cleaning fluid.

i agree, my problem with fairy is all the suds to wipe up after, tried weaker solution but cudn't get enough slip. i do a massive new estate (quite posh too) & they're all wood-stained windows & sills so the soap shows up a mile off, thats the only real reason that i'm trying other things to be honest.

Have you tried putting a little bit of vinegar into your fairy solution?
It gives a great clean and leaves the windows sparkling.
This is all they used in the olden days, that and newspaper to dry it! :o

Gotta be fairy ;)

Have you tried squeegy off ? I find it gives you a much better slip than gg3

not tried vinegar or squeegy off but the solution i posted above is still doing the business.
i never used fairy in the bucket though, i always applied it directly to my aplicator.
