Hi Chaps,
Any Ideas are appreciated as to how to insulate my 100gpd
RO Man RO for the winter.
It is inside a garage.
Thanks

I didn't insulate my filters last year they are in my shed and i didn't get any problems apart from the waste pipe freezing a few times.

Try a small parrafin heater Dave, like the ones they use in a greenhouse if it gets real cold, but i dont think you will get any problems with it inside mate.

My RO is also in my shed at the bottom of the garden, i wrapped the RO in a quilt and had no problems.

Thanks for the replies.
I am not too worried about normal frosts. It's if we get a -10. I have been given an okd greenhouse parafin heater but Tracy is abit worried I might burn the garage down, and me being an ex retained fireman could be , at the least, a bit embarassing with my old mates!!!!

I had a big radiator fitted in my garage in the summer Dave, mainly for drying clothes after i come back from work or fishing but its also going to keep the chill of aswell :D

Inside your garage should be fine, but just in case the easiest thing to use is Polystyrene sheets. Cut to size they can make a good 'box' around the unit and can be held together with duck tape. Make sure the unit sits on a sheet of it as well.
