Title: Kick Starting the New Year
Post by: David_Annable on October 31, 2006, 12:47:06 pm
Hi

We all take it as read that we will be busy over the next 2 months.

But i personally find Jan, Feb, March a bit grim.

What does everybody else do to get things moving in the new year.

Look at Martin Lewise www.moneysavingexpert.com site regarding getting Debt free.

Then work your backside off nov/dec and bank the lot, don't be tempted to have a few slap up feasts because business is good.
Then have some time off or do jobs around the house in January and live of what you did before Christmas, and get ready for the arrival of the nipper, best of luck to you.
It does go quite in january but alway picks up, just don't waste money advertising in january as no one is interested.

Send out mail shots ( to previous customers) with money off vouchers on them.

Only valid for Jan and Feb.

Some customers wait specifically for this time of year, to get the voucher.

I dont discount at any other time of year.

regards
Chris

I can never see any reason for people not having their suite cleaned in winter so I'm going to target suite cleaning.

also when is stain gaurd most needed...... IN WINTER all them muddy feet travelling through the house, their carpets need protecting to help the survive the winter months, so offer it free on all january cleaning.

Hers a good one that works...... Was getting calls last December after my diary had been filled. Offer to put them on your cancellation list, take their name and address and send them a promotional leaflet, IE like mike said, free protection with every clean......... or have 3 carpets cleaned pay for only 2   and so on. Some actually rang and booked for January  ;D ;D   I'll be doing it again this year

Congrats! Your life will never be the same again! It's all worth it.

Check out your local Freecycle group: www.freecycle.org as there is usually loads of almost new baby stuff being given away for free.

Why pay for something if you can get it for nothing?

Maybe a leaflet highlighting the fact that you can remove all the food/booze stains that have built up over Xmas?
