Title: carpet on a wooden floor
Post by: Billy Russell on October 27, 2006, 12:54:05 pm
i looked at a job today in a army base! They lay a carpet down in there gym for a month every year for rememberence day the size is 1170 sq m its a normal cord carpet! its 5yrs old and has never been cleaned! my concerns are that they lay nothing under the carpet so if i was to use hwe they would have a damp carpet on a wooden floor which i don't think will do it any good so i thought about bonnet mopping to keep moisture to a min but obviously wont give the standard of hwe! they want me to quote anyway for bonnet mopping! Just wondered if anyone else has had anything simaliar and what did they use and whats the going rate for bonnet mopping per sq m?

All the best

Will ;D

I would go for bonnet mopping. A good bonnet system will get an excellent result if done correctly.
