Just wondering
How you getting on with the Water Fed Back Pack System...?.

Hi Tosh,

thanks also for other replies too........

it was the stop end hose connectors, i replaced them for the straight forward ones .. ok now.

I bet you wished you never pulled those bristles out of your brush now! ;D

Anyway, keep practising.  After trying various things, I prefer to carry my backpack around with me, leaving 25 litre barells of water in handy places (pulled on a sacktruck).

Don't go filling the thing to the brim, if you've got somewhere awkward to get to and there's only a few windows to clean.  I'll work out that 2 litres per window is ample, so if you've got somewhere with four windows, then 8 to 12 litres is fine.

You'll also find on first cleans you'll use loads of water and get sick of filling the thing up.  Subsequent cleans are faster, so you use less water and have less filling.  Stick with it.

I reckon, for areas with difficult access, or with lots steps, the backpack is can be quicker than using a van-mount or any trolley system.

Once your work gets more compact, do the tops of three to five houses, then return to your vehicle to get your belt kit and trad the ground floor.  Don't worry too much about the odd drip of water hitting cleaned ground floor windows.  It won't do too much damage.

Using my trolley more and more now.

Also i got a big commercial job which i was using a 50ft pole made by tucker.

Dam it was hard work could'nt realy see the windows they where that high.

But after killing myself with that pole, i can now do normal homes with one hand...lol.... :D

I will have to change the end of my hose connection because when i change a barrel it sometimes plays up, meaning water stops coming through
