Hi can anyone recommend a carpet cleaner i have been looking at a extracta cx and a prochem commanche looking to spend £2500 £3000 help please. ???
-
look at ashbys ninjas or the speedster ,u get lot better spec for u money
-
theres a couple of nearly new ninja's on ebay, or there was. have a look there, i'd reccommend getting the 300 psi one. 100 is not enough.
if i were to buy a portable at mo, i would go for a ninja, they are top spec for a portable.
sorry to alltec and extracta but a 100 psi is just not enough.

hi there
if i were to spend £2500 - £3000 on a portabile machine
i would go for the scorpion at soultions uk
but to be honest with you the speedster at woodbridge is probiley the
best value for money machine that i know of
£1400+ vat just machine no hoses our wand
specs 2x 3 stage super vacs
2 stage inline heater
450 psi pump that is adjustabile
this has to be a better machine than what you have been looking at
spec wise any way

What have you done there Pete? youve added wording to the original quote!!
-
that does sound v good spec,
whats super vacs? they more powerful? or they had mionor mod then called super?
-
yes pete
iam quite sure £1400 + vat this is just for machine --
no hose's and no wand at this price
-----------------------------------------------------------------
price for machine 50 foot of hoses and wand is aroung £1680 + vat

Although I agree with the comments about these two machines and currently use a Ninja which I stripped and rebuilt achieving better vacuum power and I can still get a reasonable temperature at 50 feet, if I were starting out and had around £3000, I would look at the Prowler.
It's a bit more expensive, but it offers an awful lot of flexibility and the lack of a waste tank appeals to me, greatly.
If you can't stretch to Prowler, then you should try to see as many as possible, as you may prefer the feel of a Prochem, Altech,Extracta or other machine.
We are all built differently and there is a huge diversity in not only yhe way machines work, but in the tooling, some of which is extremely heavy and some you will take to, others you will hate.
good luck

davy whats a 2 stage in line heater?
-
Many thank's for your advice

hi cleaning co
i cant answer fully as i dont really know
but the way the speedster works is it has 2 inline type heaters
it dose not have an elament in the bottom of the tank like ninja
our alltec.
you controll them by way of a rocker switch.
ie press to the left 1 heater comes on press to the right 2 heaters come on.
Iam sure there people on here that will give a better discription than that. Our if you would like to know more about the heater set up in the speedster give woodbridge a ring
davy
PS I have just read Robbys post about the prowler
its priced at £5995 + vat which maybe an idaer to £3 grand down
£4 on the tick over 4 years would be around £88- £92 per month
-
Did'nt realise the prowler was quite so expensive

Or you could lease the prowler
Purchase Price £5,995 + VAT
3 Yr Leasing Cost (Average) £49.50 + VAT per week

hi the speedster has only one heater which is 2000watts it has a double switch on it because it is wired into two diffrent circuits each drawing 1000 watts its also a way of controlling the heat, the ninjas not only hav3000watt tank heaters but also a 3000 watt inlineheater with an adjustable controler which cuts out when it reaches max teimp ,the speedster dosnt i hav had a speedster heater catch fire before!!
-
I think you must be referring to an old model of the speedster, it has two separate in-line heaters, both automatically cut out if they overheat.
