can anyone recommend a good powder to use in my Ninja machine, I currently use Ashbys supreme but it's eating the aluminium away. Also, as I live in Inverness, I'm having difficulty getting decent suppliers. Can anyone help

Alltec Ultimate master is a good one, buy a couple of thier 20kg tubs once a year and thats all you need, £150 ( 3 quid a week)
or if you want to go for the cream of detergent powders ;) ;) buy a big 65lb tub of Banes PCA5 again it'll last a year.

From memory, Gerry Parkes of Dirtsearchers of Inverness is also a Prochem Distributor. Give him a call on 01463 713830

Derik,
When you say eating the aluminium away, what do you mean?
-
Hi Derik,
There is a Prochem and Chemspec supplier in Fife. Cleaning Systems UK ltd based in Cupar.
Tel. 01334 656 787.
Mob. 07850 351 605
www.cleaning-systems-uk.com
I find Prochem pre spray gold works well as a pre spray and Fibre and Fabric rinse for the solution tank of the machine also works well. Alltec Ultimate master is a very good product as advised above.
Where is the Ali in/on your Ninja getting attacked?
Regards,
Adam. (TECHNICLEAN) Scottish Borders.

Craftex (01823 332696) Premium Clean 5KG- £13.40 or 15KG- £37.50.
Cheers,
Nigel.

Craftex also do a neutral ph powder called low ph fibre care, safe for most upholstery and carpets , they also supply prochem, chemspec and service / repair parts, they deliver free ( orders over £40 plus vat ) and next day if ordered before 3 pm, hope this helps, Geoff

How much is the pca 5 mike and whats the ph?? Thanks, Geoff
-
Geoff, I'm not sure I think around 8.5ph
last time I bought it I also go some booster and it was about £175.
its a universal detergent that can be used for carpets and upholstery.
If I was using a portable I'd use craftex fibre safe liquid which also has a nice apple scent. or Chemspecs liquid formula 90.
to be truthful it doesn't make a lot of difference, they all do the job when used right

Thanks Mike. I use fibre safe liquid on wools and low ph fibrecare powder on others and get good results to be honest and they're not `daft` prices either. Mind you there is a price increase at Craftex at the end of october!!!!
I don`t know if you've used their apple fresh in conjunction with fibresafe liquid, had very good results with it when customers have odour problems. Mint fresh with the powder is also very good :)
-
I have had great customer response when using their Lavender Fresh.
Nigel.

They were giving that away not long ago......... buy 3 get one free.
What do u all charge for deodourising???
-
Just spray a little around after each job, always get comments from customers as to how nice it smells.
Part of customer service really.
I personally do not charge any extra for this.
Nigel.

I do the same but i was thinking along the lines of going in to cure an odour problem where obviously you`ll use a lot more IE pet smells
-
with reference to the powder, the aluminium strenghtening bar in the ninja cold water tank is slowly rotting away. Thanks to all who contributed suggestions about which powder to use....appreciated
Derik
-
Derik, what do you mean the strengthening bar in the cold water tank? it shouldnt need a bar there in the solution tank as there is no pressure(only atmospheric) ???
-
That should be waste tank. Still don't know what's happening there though. Never heard of a problem and can you imagine if Ashbys own product effected their machines.
Something else going on there. I do know they are dead against acid rinses. Martyn told me they aren't good for your pumps, hence they recommend an acid spray post extraction.
