Graham and I are thinking of buying George and we need some advice.
Which would be better in the van a laptop or pocket computer?
We were thinking of buying a secondhand laptop but before we do we want to hear what you people think.
Cheers- Michael

Just get yourself a cheapo 2nd hand palm, install george and away you go, when you get home, sync it with your home pc and you're all done...I have always found a laptop a pain when working from a vech...I find the little palm I have just slips into the pocket and I forget it until I need it again and it starts up in seconds...not like most pc's.
Cheers
Dave.

Unfortunately, George won't run on a pocket pc.
We bought a really cheap second hand laptop which had Windows 98 on it and George runs perfectly. It's not a memory hungry program by any means.

Do you need a palmtop in the van? I just print off a daily worksheet and take that out with me.

Vince,
The benefit is that you only need to enter the info once and sync it to computer.
