I was just going to ask the same question, looks a good deal for 99 quid plus delivery & vat for the 25 ft as advertised in the cleaning and maintenance mag
Ive just phoned them up and they are made to order i am very interested in one but could anyone tell me what Bordex poles are like weight and durability
regards
Brett

Hi Brett,
Thats the one mate, page 5 ;) they look alright dont they, although I would change the brush straight away.
They say light weight in the mag, the 25ft must be 5x5, the 6,12,18 must all be 6ft sections that cant be the only sizes they do them in can it?
Doesnt say weight or if its pole height or hip height anyone know??

Hi ProPole
the weight including the brush head is 3.3kg for the 25ft it does look a good deal but it only will last for October, i need to get some feeback on Brodex and see what there products are like.
As it will need to be light using it on 3 storey work all day, it only works out 0.5 kg heavier than my ergolite pole on which the clamps have gone for a second time >:(
Dont you like the vikan brush, what would you change it to

I would change it to Ionics double trim mate ;) I would keep the vikan for cladding an signs etc.
how much is p/p on these poles?

does anyone know what its made from ?

Hi shawn,
It must be glass, however the top section in the pic looks ally, not to sure tho mate. It does look like a good pole, although it is black! I much prefer yellow poles, every supplier should make there poles in yellow as standard.
Im probably gonna order a 25 next week, unless someone here puts me off, who else has seen or even used one?

Dont you like the vikan brush
I purchased a 35' Ecolite Carbon pole from Brodex - good pole but the Vikan brush supplied with the pole had large protruding nuts to accommodate the nozzles for the jets. I didn't want to risk using this, so purchased a Vikan rectangular brush from Gardiners where the nozzles are recessed.
The predator looks good value. Who's going to buy one to try it out? :-\

Predator 25ft is 4x6ft sections
Yea but thats 24ft then isnt it, neither actuall height nor working height of the pole, thats bloody stupid if it is, I dont know how they have worked that out but im not impressed at all now. How comes the 12ft and the 18ft are not 13ft and 19ft then why try and blag the extra foot out of the 25fter.
You can tell by the add that not alot of thought went into the marketing. They spent to much time making the "predator pole" words look fancy and forgot to state specs of the pole >:(. Im being put of brodex already.

hi propole, don't let that put you off, they're a great pole for the money, although you would be better spending a little extra for the ecolite, probably the best fibreglass polle available.

Hi JM123,
I am a little, although I still want one even if it is black and not the length it states I dont even want the pipe or brush tho, are the eco's yellow?
Can you send me your price list on poles, micro bore and reels, can you get yellow micro?

a 24 foot pole is 4 sections of 6 foot they take working height from the hip.......
i have had issue with suppliers over this before, for instance ,i had a 4 story building
needed a 35 " to do the job comfortably ordered, 35 " put it up well short.
put it on ground laid it out 32 " ???
called supplier then learnt height is measured from hip
stupid as only needed another 3 "

Yea I thought they must mean hip height, but its still not is it hip height is about 3foot and they have measured it on knee height >:( or just added a foot for the sake of it, they shouldnt be allowed to do that under false addvertising or something.

Could that extra foot come from the bit the brush goes on before it's attached to the pole - (like a goose-neck or whatever? Just a thought.)

whats annoying is it comes down to the sections being 6" ,but they cant extend all the way for obvious reasons , more section of pole inside , like a foot say.
more sturdy and rigid , but then 4x6 = - 4 "= 20 "...................
so no i wasn't impressed :-X
